Sherry L.

Sherry Laali (she/her) is an experienced instructor and program developer with a strong background in working with children and youth across a wide range of ages, abilities, and learning needs. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art + Design. She has several years of experience teaching in community centres, private learning centres, and educational organizations across Vancouver, North Vancouver, and West Vancouver.

Her teaching experience began with art education for children ages 3 to 15 and later expanded to include literacy, mathematics, storytelling, novel studies, and interdisciplinary learning. She also has extensive experience developing educational programs, including seasonal programs, camps, workshops, and ongoing classes throughout the year.

Sherry has worked with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, as well as neurodivergent students and children with a variety of learning needs. Her approach is patient, supportive, flexible, and student-centred. She believes that every student learns differently and adapts her teaching methods to each learner’s individual strengths, interests, communication style, and needs. Her goal is to create an inclusive, encouraging learning environment where students feel understood, build confidence, develop independence, and discover their potential.
