Zen C.
Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Family Studies
Zen (she/her) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Family Studies from the University of British Columbia and has over ten years of experience supporting children and youth in a variety of settings. Her background includes working as a Child and Youth Worker, supporting individuals in residential group homes, providing one-to-one behavioural support, and supporting learners in school settings. She has also worked in private educational centres, supporting students with academic skill development, school preparation, and English language learning. Additionally, she brings five years of experience as a Behaviour Interventionist, working both independently and collaboratively with families and other professionals to support children and youth with diverse needs.
Zen brings a gentle, compassionate, and strengths-based approach to her work, prioritizing meaningful relationships and taking the time to understand each learner as an individual. She values each learner’s unique strengths, interests, and abilities, and strives to create supportive environments where learners feel safe, understood, and empowered to build confidence and develop independence. Her approach is grounded in the belief that every learner deserves to feel valued, respected, and supported in reaching their full potential.
