Naomi L.

Naomi (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia through the Indigenous Teacher Education Program, along with an International Baccalaureate (IB) Educator Certificate. She is a certified teacher in BC with experience working with people of different ages and abilities across school and community settings in her previous roles as a youth worker, summer camp leader, teaching assistant and environmental educator.

Naomi takes a relational and strength-based approach to education, taking time to know each student as a person. She meets learners at their pace and incorporates their interests into lessons to make learning relevant and engaging. By recognizing that people think and learn in different ways, Naomi works with learners to identify their strengths, develop strategies that work for them while building confidence and independence. Before pursuing education, Naomi studied animal science at the University of Alberta and remains interested in nature and environmental education. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering and spending time outdoors.
